Evoma is one of the top 10 Bangalore hotels serving business travelers, executives and the corporate event segment. The 4-star luxury business hotel and office is set in an idyllic location along Old Madras Road, with no traffic, plenty of parking space, and two lakes on either side where the cool breeze makes you feel alive in the garden by the outdoor pool.
Evoma offers complimentary transportation for guests, to take you anywhere you want to go.
But depending on traffic conditions, it takes slightly over 30 minutes to get from Evoma OMR to Whitefield, which is where most of our hotel guests want to go for meetings in the industrial hubs and large corporate offices.
MG Road is likewise a 45-50 minute drive through traffic, as long as you don't get stuck in rush hour traffic. But we have a problem...
This problem that is Bengaluru transportation by road would be entirely eliminated once the second phase of the metro rail project is completed, connecting Baiyappanahalli to Whitefield.
So you'd be able to use Namma Metro from MG Road straight through to Whitefield, and back. In that case, it would take you only 10-15 minutes to get to Whitefield, and about 20 minutes to MG Road.
Many of the hundreds of startups located at Evoma OMR and our other business centers in Bangalore employ thousands of people, all told. They come from all over the city, and beyond. The total amount of time and money spent by all these startup, SME and corporate branch employees commuting in buses and cars is unimaginably huge.

If you want to avoid this traffic hell, booking an Ola or Uber cab from ORR - Silk Board, HSR Layout, Malleshwaram, Hebbal, Yelahanka, Electronic City, Yeshwantpur, Bellandur, Hoodi, Brookefield and other such areas, all the way to their workplace, costs between Rs. 200-300 on a one way commute. If you're spending Rs. 600 (over Rs. 1,000 for two people working in different locations), then that's over Rs. 30,000 per month on your commute, and 3-4 hours of quality time stuck in traffic every day.
Granted that it's all a part of urban development challenges in a metro city like Bangalore, but why should our employees suffer long 1-2 hour commutes and be stuck in traffic at 7 am and 7 pm? Why should our startups, SMEs and corporate branches lose 2-4 hours of valuable and highly productive time that could benefit the companies they work for? It's so easily resolved once the metro is accessible to them from Bypannahalli, taking them home to anywhere in Bengaluru in a matter of minutes.

It's going to take 2 or more years before anyone who is staying or working at Evoma OMR will be able to take the Metro and reach Whitefield within 15 minutes. Meanwhile, the roads to Whitefield are jammed because of the construction work. In fact, you can't get over the bridge at Kadugodi and reach any other business hotel in or around Whitefield without having to crawl through an interminable traffic jam.
On the other hand, Evoma is the first and only business hotel with luxury dining and accommodations that is easily accessible from this side of the Metro rail project, towards KR Puram and MG Road. We anticipate a huge uptick in business over the next two years while the Metro construction is under progress. Even so, we'd like to get it over with as fast as possible, because it would be a huge boon for our guests and employees who face long commutes in the morning and evening.
