“Atithi Devo Bhava.” A Guest is equivalent to God.
Bangalore, or Bengaluru as it is officially called now, welcomes you, beloved Atithi, to our city and into our homes.
Bangaloreans are quiet, peace loving and accommodating by nature. As a long-time resident in this wonderful city of ours, it is my pleasure to share with you with these Bangalore transportation tips.
I’m sure you don’t really need any tips to download the UBER or OLA app and move around the city in a cab. That’s fine, but where is the adventure, and the thrill and intrigue of learning your way around a new city? I, for one, firmly believe that the best way to get to know a city better is to use its public transportation system.
Let me assure you at this point that your comfort and safety will never be compromised. My tips involve only the best of Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation’s elite “Vajra” and “Vayu Vajra” services, and the existing routes of Namma Metro rail transportation services. So what are you waiting for? Start exploring our beautiful city.

Conclusion:Though Bangalore doesn’t have a suburban train network like Chennai or Mumbai to support its transport system, due credit should be given to the innovative way urban development funds have been used to reform the city’s public transport system, making it one of the largest in India.
With the completion of Namma Metro Phase-1 around the corner, and Phase-2 by 2020, and with constant upgrades and maintenance of the existing network, Bangalore is well on its way to claiming the top public transport position in the country.
